Welcome To Today’s Seasoned Woman
I started this blog in hopes of helping seasoned women navigate midlife and beyond. A place where we can talk about being married for a long time and share lessons learned. Where we can explore the journey of transitioning from active parenting to an empty nest. Where we can dig into our role as parents of adults and learn how to build healthy relationships with them.
As women we face many transitions and changes throughout our lives. One day we are a young wife, maybe starting a career, and parenting young kids. The next thing we know the kids are leaving home, we are looking at our husband wondering who we are, and what our purpose is in the next stage of life. I want to explore these topics and give women food for thought as they navigate similar situations. I think it’s valuable to let women in earlier stages of life know what might be ahead so they can consider things to come.
Today’s Seasoned Woman was started to help women live fully and passionately in the second half of life
I counseled, mentored, coached, and taught women for over 7 years at a local nonprofit I led. There I was able to serve as a guest columnist for a local newspaper which is where I caught the writing bug. I led women’s conferences, training, and workshops and developed a passion for helping others. I hope that I can help more women through this blog and what develops from it.
I’d love to connect! Sign up to receive emails letting you know about new posts and with helpful resources. Contact me anytime if you have topics you would like to read about or just want to connect. I am a mother of four adults ages 25-34, have been married for 34 years in an imperfect marriage (I can’t believe we stayed together), and work a day job that I feel bored and disillusioned with. I’d love to connect with other women who are navigating a seasoned life.
